"A Key to Live By When Chatting Online:
--For everyone who seems to care about you, there are an equal or greater number of people
who just don't give a shit..."

You know, it's pretty sad that I had to learn this the hard way, and yet, it doesn't just pertain to chatting online. It pertains to just about everything in life. Sadly, I never had that attitude until recently, because I tried to be the kind of person to be sympathetic to people's problems and listen and hopefully help them out. But over the past few weeks, for about a month and a half now, I have been called a lot of different slanderous names and have been backstabbed by so called "online friends" because of sharing my opinion and then debating my position and getting violent when attacked or insulted over my beliefs or personal choice.

Now, first, I say this. I don't go online to willingly try to start an argument about anything, and if anyone asks my opinion I will give my beliefs, openly, and of my own free will, about the subject in question. But as soon as someone tells me that my personal decision is wrong, that's when I get angry and verbose about the situation. No one can tell me that my personal decision is wrong and no one can tell me that I am ignorant or anything of the like because of my personal beliefs. Also, I see no reason to go online and lie about myself. I am who I am, both in real life and online, and if someone doesn't like it, it's their loss, not mine; yet I refuse to lie about any aspect about my life online or in person.

Over the past few weeks, I have also learned that the internet is a more superficial place to be than the real world. Odd that I should say that because I originally went to the internet to meet friends to get AWAY from superficiality, But I've found that most people online have a tendency to want to know everything about your private life, down to the screen printing on your underwear (if any). And then get angry when you have a differing opinion. So, for what it's worth, I just don't care anymore. We all have problems, and if you come to me for advice, I will gladly give you what I believe I would do if I were in the same situation; however, if you ask my advice and then choose to not take it, do not come in and complain about how crappy your situation is and/or talk bulls--t about my advice to you. If you do, you will find out how fast of an enemy you can make out of me.

But for all my true online friends, thank you. You understand what I mean and where I'm coming from. And you haven't let my ramblings or my room opinions get to you. And something has to be said about that. So, to you I offer this advice: "Be careful who you talk to and what personal information you share, because for everyone who cares about you, an equal or greater number of people just don't give a shit."

PS:
Michelle: In MY opinion, cybersex is still a form of cheating. You can ignore me all you want, but don't come in and tell me I'm stupid for my beliefs and then cover it up by saying you were starting an "educated" argument. An educated argument doesn't start by calling someone wrong or stupid.

PPS:
Strega: Report me all you want for what I said to you, I don't care. I will come back under a different name if need be, but you will never be able to justify your blatant sexism by saying that "Women should get anything they want just because they are women and because of how men twisted history to get whatever they want." It doesn't work that way. But, it's your opinion and your entitled to it. But after everything you called me that night in chat, don't expect me to think very highly of your opinions or any of your debates.
